My Platform

Now more than ever it is important to have an experienced community advocate sit at Council and represent the people of Ward 6.  We all want a Bolton we are proud to call home.  We all want a Bolton that is an inclusive safe space that brings the Bolton community together.

Priorities

  •  Support local businesses and continue to build a strong employment base that will attract new industries to our community
  • Continue to push for the expedition of the GO train. Having a viable source of public transit is good for our economy and our environment.
  • Increase community engagement through social activities, concerts, local events
  •  Continued support of the Downtown Bolton Revitalization plan
  •  Amenities for the North Hill such as retail, parks and recreation

Community

Our people are what make Bolton a community.  It is when we feel connected, engaged, proud and hopeful that our community truly thrives.  It is my commitment to my family, and to you, that all the decisions that I make will be made with integrity, and to the benefit of the residents of Bolton. I am accountable to you and I don’t take that lightly.

Priorities

  • Continue the great work of the implementation of the Downtown Bolton Revitalization Plan
  • Advocate for the better support and services for our local seniors and families, such a better programming, a splash park on the North Hill, a doggie park, etc
  • Attract amenities in the North Hill area such as retail investment
  • Increase community engagement through social activities, concerts, local events.

Economic Development

We need a strong economic development plan for Bolton in order to keep residential taxes down, continue to support our local businesses and continue to build a strong employment base that will attract new industries to our community.  The success of our businesses is imperative to the success of our community.

Priorities

  • Work on a sustainable plan that will attract new businesses from different employment sectors that align with our zoning and vision.
  • Continue to push for the expedition of the GO train. Having a viable source of public transit is good for our economy and our environment.
  • Support organizations like the Chamber of Commerce, and the BIA to help drive beautification and economic growth for our local small businesses in Bolton.
  • Partner with my fellow Councillors in the Love Local Campaign and promote Bolton Businesses.
  • Showcase downtown Bolton as a walkable, family-friendly village through local events and community activities.

Community Engagement

Whether we connect through our spaces, social settings or activities, it is important to me that all residents are able to participate, enjoy, and be proud of our Bolton community.
